I have a new hobby. My sister Olive got me interested in
it. It's call Geo-Cashing and you can learn all about it from their
website
http://www.geocaching.com/ I am grannyannie but haven't
posted anything as yet. Olive and I have found some and she posted
them and put I was with her.
I have always been interested in buried treasure and scavenger hunts so I
found this quite interesting.
The website tells you the area in which someone placed a cache and you go
and find it. You sometimes take something out or leave something of
yours or sometimes you just post that you found it.
It's essential to have a GPS unit of some sort. I am still
getting used to mine.
With the weather getting nice, it will be fun to see where
this hobby takes me.
5/25/07 Went to Erie City Cemetery to see if we could find one of
these things.
We found "Pennies for the General"
The clue was 30 paces to the right from Vincent's Grave and here is this
"clump of trees".
I looked in there and found this little canister. In it was 4 pennies
and a scroll of signed finders.
I added a 2007 penny and signed my name. (grammyannie)
Then it began to rain.
June 2007
Beautiful day and Olive came to town. She picked me up and we
went-a-hunting...

I found this one at the Rest Area on I-90
There was a clue on this pole
First Rest Stop in Ohio
Olive found this
We looked all over the bridge
But Olive found it in the tree
Here we found one by the wooden bridge
This was in the stump of the tree
Ashtabula County Metro Park
Olive is looking for one
(there's a picnic table in there)
Olive found it under the bridge
Here it is
Had lunch here (You pay what you think?)
Found one right outside in a wagonwheel
In a tree in the Evergreen Cemetery
Our great-grandfather's headstone
We had a good time and Olive said she would post our findings on
