Windy Sunday 1-13-08

My great-grandson and daughter and I decided to do some
"treasure hunting" on this chilly day.

First Stop:  Wesleyville Field Cache

Walked around this park and around the field and up the side of the hill.  GPS said "Arriving at destination" right where we parked  the car, no cache.

Let's try another one

THE BIG K

Easy find.

Next one:  Face Dancing Pole

GPS took us between the new bridge and then on the old dirt road to the cache. Big laugh at first container, looked around in the bushes, and fence but GPS said "it's back there dummy!" looked again and felt an old hornet's nest ?? and WOW found the right container. LOL Signed the log. First to find this year? Great

On to the next one.    TPrints' 5000 Finds

Clue said it was a "grate find" it sure was. Interesting canister. Watch out for the doggy doo.
Fish Sticks We are to count the fishes in this cache.

Found 4 fish, although I agree one looks like a dinosaur with fins so it could be a prehistoric fish.
GPS took us running around and even lost the signal at one point. Found the cache next to a bunch of stiffs not sticks!.
Great find. Left Shredder TB, please send him off to Oregon. No snow but windy on this quiet hill.

Picnic at HCP

Sunday 2pm Cold but no snow. GPS right on the money but I felt around and around and looked around. Then the second time I found the round. Signed the log and onto the next one

Didn't find the HCP MICRO
Well the trick was on me because I didn't find it either.
Looked all around the trees, bushes, fence and even in the muddy creek but no luck. Found a couple wore out tennis balls but no cache. Saw a woman walking her puppy and she asked if we lost something, I said no. My great-grandson said we were playing ball. My daughter and him were kicking the one baseball back and forth while I was searching in the trees.    Maybe next time.
